360 Degree Feedback

360-degree Feedback

One of the best ways to grow as a leader is by listening to and learning from the people around you.  From your direct reports to your friends and family, the experience that others have in relation to you and your actions defines how you are perceived and regarded.  Sometimes the way we see ourselves is quite different from the way we are seen by others – and this disconnect can be the cause of a great deal of dysfunction in our relationships at work and at home.

Through the use of surveys and reports, 360-degree feedback is designed to give you insight into how you really work with others.  The survey questions range from general to specific, and their answers are tabulated to produce a report that can be used as a baseline from which to study and improve our performance.  Any areas which need improvement can then be worked on and re-measured.  The power of 360-degree feedback is that it gives us a way to see how our actions directly affect the people around us, which then gives us the opportunity to change.  Armed with the knowledge that there are specific things we need to improve gives us a better chance of actually choosing to make the effort.

360-degree Feedback

Objective:  To quantify the current level of performance, morale, trust, etc. of the staff, management and upper management, based on feedback and self-evaluation from all groups.  Once this data is compiled, and improvement areas are identified, the management team can work in their focus groups to devise the action steps necessary for improving the low scores.

  • First meeting – we will work with the management team to compile the initial questionnaire.  Following the meeting, we will make the questionnaire available online for participants to complete anonymously, but by a deadline.
  • Report – when the deadline is reached, all online questionnaires will be tabulated and a report will be compiled.  The report will show areas that require attention, as well as those areas where the organization is doing well.
  • Second Meeting – Discuss the 360-degree Feedback Report, devise action steps and strategies for improvement.
  • Effectiveness Survey
